Review: IOPE Matte Longwear Air Cushion (C13)

IOPE re-launched their Air Cushion series in the beginning of 2016 and I will now review their Matte Longwear cushion in a shade C13.

New IOPE Air Cushion series include four different types of products for different needs, Natural Glow, Intense Cover, Moisture Lasting, and Matte Longwear, which is the one I bought. They come in 5 different shades including warm and neutral tones, and I got the lightest shade C13 (cool ivory) since the shade 21 is usually too dark for me. This cushion has SPF50+ and PA+++, and it has 15g of product in it.

New cushion case's lid is flatter and the shape is slimmer than in the previous one, and different types of cushions have specific colored ring around the lid so you will easily recognize which one to use if you own many of them. In Matte Longwear that ring is light gray/silver colored. They also changed the type of sponge where the foundation is to firmer one with dot pattern in it. I don't think it's really better than the normal one, but because it's firmer you need to push it harder to get the product come out of it, especially when there's not much product left anymore. I guess it's purpose is to give the product to the puff more evenly. Puff is really basic and does it's job like it should do.

My cushion is called Matte Longwear, but unfortunely it isn't neither of these. Finish of this product is definitely not matte. Actually it leans more on the dewy side. I wouldn't say that it's really longwear either. I use always lots of powder on top of this cushion so it makes the lasting power a bit better. Usually matte products are pretty thick and have medium or full coverage, but the feeling of this cushion is totally opposite. It's really lightweight and unfortunately also really light in coverage. If you have something to cover in your skin, this cushion won't cover it. I would say it only evens out the color of my skin a little bit. Scent of this cushion is really typical flowery/powdery scent, but thankfully not as strong than in some other Korean cushions. It fades away quickly after applying.

Overall, I like that IOPE Matte Longwear Air Cushion is lightweight, it doesn't higlight my pores, and the shade C13 is light enough for my skintone. I also got compliments of my skin when I was wearing it, but I had colored primer under it to bring more coverage. I don't like that it's not matte even thought it claims so, that it isn't that long lasting and that the coverage is really weak. I used the refill I got with it when I purchased it, but I won't buy this product again. I would like to try the Intense Cover cushion though!
