Prague Trip - Part 2: Old Town

I know that many people want to avoid doing touristy things in their trips to overseas, but we wanted to see the main attractions of Prague. I can assure you won't be alone in those places! You should be careful and take good care of your bag because pickpocketers move in the same areas than tourists. One of the must go places for every tourist is the Old Town, Staré Město, and especially its square. That's where we decided to go our first day in Prague. Some of the main attractions of the square are the astronomical clock and Franz Kafka's childhood home. We didn't pay to get in anywhere and just enjoyed the beautiful architecture.

From here you can also buy souvenirs. Most of the streets are filled with little souvenir shops next to each other. Some special items of Prague to bring back home are crystals and wooden toys. Europeans around my age might be familiar with the Czech animation of a mole, Krtek. Many shops have plushs and other items of this lovely childhood character and his friends. There's also shopping centers and clothing stores located very near to old town square for people who are interested to do some shopping. Eating around old town square can be expensive.
